Aurora Language Table starts on Jan. 30 at Culture Stock.
What is Aurora Language Table?
Aurora Language Table (ALT) is a free and informal English/Spanish practice session. For an hour each Wednesday, participants will gather at Culture Stock bookstore at 43 E. Galena in downtown Aurora to speak Spanish for a half hour and then English for a half hour. Depending on the turnout of each event, participants will either be paired with another speaker or join a small group. The goal of ALT is to help each other learn to converse in the other’s native language.
Who can participate?
Participants should be adults (18 or over) and have a basic knowledge of the language they want to learn. Conversation starter cards will be provided to aid participants, but a basic vocabulary will most likely be needed to converse. Language tables are not intended as introductory language classes, but rather as an opportunity for those who are learning a language to practice.
Why participate?
Language is best learned through conversation. Aurora Language Table gives language learners an opportunity to converse with a native speaker in a fun and encouraging environment.
When and Where?
Wednesdays from 6 to 7 p.m.

43 E. Galena Blvd. just west of Broadway (Route 25), Aurora
