Why: Because it's awesome and free, and brings the community together

When & Where: River's Edge Cafe from 4 to 6 p.m., then Chef Amaury at 33 West from 7 to 9 p.m.

Come pick up a copy of the Spring Issue 2012 of Downtown Auroran Magazine, a free, independent publication focusing on arts and culture, and the downtown scene.

Nov. 20: Art opening at Chef Amaury's in downtown Aurora

Sunday, November 20 from 3 to 6 p.m. local artists Lisa Gloria and Brian Busch will open their exhibit "The Food Show" at Chef Amaury. Their artwork will be foodcentric. The work is nothing short of spectacular. Cheese and fruit will be served compliments of Chef Amaury. Cash bar available. Dinner service will be available after 5 p.m.

Chef Amaury at 33 West is located at 33 W. New York St. across from Ballydoyle in downtown Aurora. Free street parking is available after 5 p.m., and free lot parking is located at the northwest corner of New York and River streets.

Nov. 18: Opening Art Reception at 33 West

Opening Reception:

An opening art reception featuring work by nationally known collage artist Laura Lein-Svencer will be held from 5:30 until 7 p.m. on Thursday, November 18 at Chef Amaury at 33 West. Lein-Svencer is the co-founder of the Midwest Collage Society and will be available to answer questions and talk about her work, workshops and classes. The exhibit runs through Jan 3 at Chef Amaury at 33 West on New York Street's Restaurant Row in Aurora.

Convenient parking is available in West Suburban Bank's parking lot at the northwest corner of River and New York streets.
