Guest Speaker: Lynn Mitchell
Lynn Mitchell is a professional certified coach with a focus on leadership and organizational development. She believes a leader’s work begins with self-awareness. Mitchell helps leaders be more successful by getting out of their own way. She facilitates performance enhancing behavioral change within the workplace.
Mitchell brings to her coaching practice 25 years of business experience, including corporate leadership positions at IBM, creating a successful small-business management consulting company, and graduate-level teaching as an adjunct faculty member at the Aurora University's Dunham School of Business. She can be reached atlynn@lynnmitchellcoaching.com or .
What’s the No. 1 reason people fail in their work and personal life? Mitchell says it's not because they lack intelligence or technical competence, but emotional intelligence. Emotions have the potential to get in the way of most important business and personal relationships. Emotional intelligence (EI), ability to manage personal behaviors and the emotions of others, is the single greatest contributor to personal excellence and leadership.
