The Aspiring Artists Student Exhibit from North Central College is a collection that varies in media and genre. Patrons will experience a wide variety of oil and acrylic paintings, drawings, mixed media and photographs.  North Central College encourages student exhibitions as part of their art curriculum, where many classes are taught by practicing artists.  Exhibiting at the Grand Gallery allows students the opportunity to showcase their work in a commercial environment, gaining valuable real-world experience as they prepare for their careers in art. Most work is for sale.

As part of the North Central College Aspiring Artist Student Exhibit, the Paramount Theatre is pleased to feature the work of Lauren Wohlrab. Lauren is currently a Junior at North Central College majoring in Art. Lauren likes to play with varying mediums. Her art is a means of relaying to the world what she sees and imagines from day to day.  Her clean unrestrained drawings capture the viewer,  giving them reason to pause, reflect and lose themselves momentarily in the art.

The Paramount Theatre Art Gallery located on the 2nd floor of the Grand Gallery, opened in the Fall of 2006. The Gallery features the work of both established and aspiring artists. For more information regarding the Art Gallery, or the hanging of a show, please contact: melmeisch@comcast.net.
